Western media outlets ignore the legal campaign against Israel
Shades of Anger, May 8, 2024
May 8, 2024
Good morning! Important reminder: not even all the world’s media can ignore all of us - keep Palestine in the news!
Editor’s note: next Saturday, May 11, is World Keffiyeh Day. Plan to wear a keffiyeh proudly that day! Learn more about the symbolism of the keffiyeh, and find out where to buy one, here.
LEARN. Read this editorial by Rami G Khouri, from Al Jazeera.

NOTICE. How much did you know about these legal cases did were you aware of before you read the editorial - 90%, 50%, 10%? Are the local, regional and national news outlets you follow covering the ongoing legal cases against Israel and its allies, including the U.S. and Germany, accusing leaders and the nations of war crimes, genocide and complicity in those atrocities?
ACT. Write a letter to the editor of the news outlets you follow to demand more coverage of the genocide in Gaza (if you need language to get you started, do a search for “letters to the editor about Palestine” and let us know over in the Speaking Up Network, here). Or reach out to those media outlets via the social media sites you use and ask why they aren’t covering the ongoing cases against Israel and its allies complicit in the genocide.
When media outlets reply to you or run your letter, be sure to tell us over in the Speaking Up Network, here.
SHARE. Right now, send this email to at least 3 people who need to know that mainstream western media isn’t covering the news about genocide in Gaza.
ASK. What media outlets do you rely on for accurate news about Palestine? Please reply to this email or leave a comment in the Speaking Up Network to let us know.
In solidarity for liberation for Palestine,

Shades of Anger was created by a global collective of women to raise awareness and inspire action to free Palestine. We also believe in liberation for Sudan, the Congo, Haiti, and all places where systems of oppression are causing immense suffering and crushing the life out humans. We are led by women of the Global Majority/BIPOC. Shades of Anger is for everyone who wants to act for liberation and you can learn more about it here.
