URGENT: Global strike for Gaza TODAY, May 10, 2024

Shades of Anger, May 10, 2024

May 10, 2024

Good morning! Important reminder: YOU can strike TODAY to support Gaza.

Editor’s note: tomorrow, Saturday, May 11, is World Keffiyeh Day. Plan to wear a keffiyeh proudly, or buy one if you don’t have one yet! Learn more about the symbolism of the keffiyeh, and find out where to buy one, here (reminder: do NOT buy a keffiyeh from Amazon, since they are on the boycott/sanction/divest list).

LEARN. Read this article on why it’s so critical to strike for Gaza TODAY!

NOTICE. What do you need to reschedule so that you can strike for Gaza today?

ACT. Call your elected officials to tell them you are striking for Gaza, to end the bombardment of Rafah (see details in the article referenced above).

SHARE. Right now, send this email to at least 10 people you know to invite them to strike with you. Bonus action: attend a local action to support Palestine! Or simply stand on a busy streetcorner holding a sign to raise awareness of the horrible siege on Rafah. Grab a friend to double the impact, and to help keep you accountable and safe.

ASK. What’s stopping you from striking for Gaza TODAY? Please reply to this email (or, if you’re reading this online, leave a comment below) to let us know.

In solidarity for Palestinian liberation,

Shades of Anger was created by a global collective of women to raise awareness and inspire action to free Palestine. We also believe in liberation for Sudan, the Congo, Haiti, and all places where systems of oppression are causing immense suffering and crushing the life out humans. We are led by women of the Global Majority/BIPOC. Shades of Anger is for everyone who wants to act for liberation and you can learn more about it here.
