April 26, 2024

Good morning! Always remember: YOU can take action to help liberate the people of Palestine, every day.

LEARN. Listen to this song, “Palestine Will Never Die” by Lowkey and this song, “A Day Will Come (Palestine Will Be Free)” by Desirée Dawson and Mona Haydar.

NOTICE. What emotions came up as you listened to each song? Did you feel anything different between the two? Notice how your physical body feels after listening.

ACT. Take those feelings, and act for a Free Palestine. Write your officials (links here). Make a sign and stand on a busy street and protest. Find a local community action to join (check out Robin Divine’s Resource Guide for lists of actions here and financially support her here).

SHARE. Right now, reach out to a friend and take this action together. Whether it is an in-person action or it is a co-writing letter session.

ASK. What questions do you have after listening to these songs? What songs about Palestine have you been listening to recently? Reply to this email to let us know.

In solidarity for liberation for Palestine,

Rebecca Steckle, on behalf of the Shades of Anger collective

Shades of Anger was created by a global collective of women to raise awareness and inspire action to free Palestine. We also believe in liberation for Sudan, the Congo, Haiti, and all places where systems of oppression are causing immense suffering and crushing the life out humans. We are led by women of the Global Majority/BIPOC. Shades of Anger is for everyone who wants to act for liberation and you can learn more about it here.
