Strike for Gaza!

Shades of Anger, April 13, 2024

April 13, 2024

People in northern Gaza are being forced to live on less than 245 calories per day. This is intentional starvation and it is a war crime.

We must act to stop the illegal Israeli aggression against Palestinians NOW!

LEARN. Today’s action is URGENT! On Monday, April 15, there is a coordinated global economic blockade to free Palestine AND a global general strike for Gaza. Learn about the blockade here and the general strike here.

NOTICE. Look up the minimum calories per day that a baby needs to live. How do you feel about knowing that 245 calories per day is far less than even the tiniest baby needs?

ACT. If a blockade action is happening anywhere near you, join it! Decide today how you will participate in the general strike - what will you boycott, how will you demonstrate your support for Palestine and withhold your financial support from Israeli businesses?

SHARE. Right now, forward this email to 10 people you know. And share information about the blockade and general strike widely - on social media, in texting groups, parenting groups and put up fliers/posters (available on the websites) all over your neighborhood!

ASK. What do you need to reschedule so that you can fully participate in the general strike on Monday? Reply to this email to let us know.

We also believe in liberation for Sudan, the Congo, Haiti, and all places where systems of oppression are causing immense suffering and crushing the life out humans. We are led by women of the Global Majority/BIPOC. Shades of Anger is for everyone who wants to act for liberation and you can learn more about it here.
