Palestine Protest Art from Artists for Radical Imagination
Shades of Anger, June 30, 2024 post
June 30, 2024
Good morning. Remember, every day is a good day to feed your soul with art that helps free Palestine.
Editor’s note: I woke up yesterday feeling such deep despair about the ongoing genocide in Palestine that I wasn’t quite sure how I could go on as part of the resistance movement. Then, a colleague shared a piece of art with me and reminded me that art is a language that speaks directly to our souls, helping us find the strength to go on. Another colleague then said that until Palestine is free, we must, “never stop knocking on the walls of the tanks.” I’m sending gratitude to all of the artists whose work is helping me keep knocking on walls of tanks today.
LEARN. Take a few minutes to be inspired by the amazing “Palestine Protest Art” project, created by Artists for Radical Imagination.
NOTICE. How were you feeling before you looked at this piece of art by Chi Nwosu, and how are you feeling after looking at it? How is your heart these days? Do you feel empowered, excited, connected and driven, or do you feel despondent, grieving, and hopeless? Do you feel a mixture of all of these (which is a completely normal way to experience emotions)?
ACT. Give the most generous gift you can to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF).
SHARE. Forward this to at least 5 friends, family members or colleagues who are feeling grief about the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
ASK. What other art projects for Palestine have you come across? Please reply to this email (or, if you are reading this online, leave a comment below) to let us know.*
In solidarity for Palestinian liberation,

Shades of Anger was created by a global collective of women to raise awareness and inspire action to free Palestine. We chose the name of our collective to honor the poem, “Shades of Anger,” by Palestinian-Canadian poet Rafeef Ziadah. We also believe in liberation for Sudan, the Congo, Haiti, and all places where systems of oppression are causing immense suffering and crushing the life out humans. We are led by women of the Global Majority/BIPOC. Shades of Anger is for everyone who wants to act for liberation and you can learn more about it here.
