It's about the children!

Resources from April 3 Shades of Anger session, April 4, 2024

April 4, 2024

Every single day is a good day to take action for Palestinian children. Today, we’re sharing the resources from our online community action session held on April 3rd, where we talked about the children of Palestine and the bombing of Al-Shifa Hospital.

LEARN.

Children in Gaza held this press conference in early November of 2023. It was filmed in front of Al Shifa Hospital, which was completely destroyed by Israel on April 1, 2024, after a two-week siege (see footage in second video, below).

Among Gaza’s heroes is 9-year-old Lama Abu Jamous. She is amazing. And no child should ever have to serve their community in this way at such a young age. Children deserve to be children.

And finally, this article from Here 4 The Kids was recommended to one of our community members to help handle a similar situation with a school.

NOTICE. What are you angry about when it comes to the dire circumstances of children in Gaza?

ACT. Since tomorrow, Friday, April 5, is Palestinian Children’s Day, commit to taking at least one action to support the children of Gaza. You can ask your professional association if they have issued a statement on the genocide in Gaza, hand out fliers at your corner store, attend a protest, contact your elected officials, or talk to your friends and family about it because it will have an impact in your community. Bonus: have your children write a letter to the children of Gaza, here. Reply to this email to tell us what action you commit to taking!

SHARE. Forward this email to at least 5 friends, family members or colleagues, with an urgent plea to learn about the children of Palestine and act alongside you for their sake.

ASK. Why don’t we see videos of angry people from around the world every day, weeping and screaming because over 14,000 children have been killed in Gaza since October 7th? Is there anything more inhumane than not being moved by the intentional deaths of so many innocent children? Reply to this email to tell us what you are angry about. We’re here to listen and help you act.

In solidarity for liberation for Palestine,
