Good morning. Remember that YOU can be on the right side of history by being a part of the growing movement to free Palestine!

LEARN. Find out more about the apartheid-free movement at this project page of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). While this project is primarily focused on Turtle Island/North America, it can be used to model apartheid-free communities across the world.

NOTICE. What feelings or thoughts come up when you hear the word “apartheid” or talk about being freed of apartheid?

ACT. Ask communities you are involved in (work, family, religious, and/or civic organizations) to seriously consider signing the apartheid-free pledge. Or, if that’s not applicable to you because of your location in the world, start community conversations about what it means that the Israeli government is indeed an apartheid state.

If you need help having hard conversations like this, take a look at the “How do we talk to our leaders at work?” guide from Shades of Anger co-leader Animah Kosai, a Canva document you can review here.

SHARE. Right now, send this email to 3 people who should know that Israel is an apartheid state.

ASK. What did you know about apartheid before you looked at the Apartheid-Free Communities site? Please reply to this email (or, if you are reading this online, leave a comment below) to let us know.*

In solidarity for Palestinian liberation,

Shades of Anger was created by a global collective of women to raise awareness and inspire action to free Palestine. We also believe in liberation for Sudan, the Congo, Haiti, and all places where systems of oppression are causing immense suffering and crushing the life out humans. We are led by women of the Global Majority/BIPOC. Shades of Anger is for everyone who wants to act for liberation and you can learn more about it here.
